Cisco Refresh is based on the company’s own comprehensive, ISO 9001/14001-certified remanufacturing process.

All equipment is checked for authenticity and refurbished with original Cisco components in a controlled manufacturing environment. Particular emphasis is placed on the use of environmentally friendly processes and materials. They perform a series of diagnostic, function and network traffic system tests, and all certified equipment receives regulatory and safety certification. They also perform firmware and hardware upgrades to ensure maximum network performance.

Only equipment which successfully comes through Cisco’s stringent refurbishment process can be labelled as Cisco Refresh. Cisco Refresh products come with the same guarantee and support options as the equivalent new devices.

Juniper Certified Pre-Owned (JCPO)

Juniper Certified Pre-Owned hardware undergoes a refurbishment and certification process where the equipment is refurbished and updated by a Juniper Networks-authorised facility. The certified equipment from this program comes with the same Juniper guarantee as for the equivalent new product. Juniper Care support and services are also available – just like when you buy a new product.

The Certified Pre-Owned process from Juniper can include the following:

  • Updating the embedded Juniper software to the latest version
  • Remedying faults
  • Resetting to the standard configuration
  • Checking the Juniper serial number
  • Repairing and replacing components
  • Thorough cosmetic restoration
  • Test to check qualification for certification
  • Juniper guarantee registration
